Saif y pentref ymhlith y golygfeydd mwyaf trawiadol yn Eryri wrth groesi afonydd Cerist a Dyfi yng nghysgod bryniau Moel Benddin (543m) a Moel Dinas \/ Dre (478m). Mae ffordd yr A470 rhwng Gogledd a De Cymru ac o&#8217;r Dwyrain i arfordir y Gorllewin ar hyd yr A458 yn mynd heibio&#8217;r pentref.<\/p><p>Mae digonedd o atyniadau yn yr ardal, yn enwedig i&#8217;r rhai sy&#8217;n mwynhau&#8217;r bywyd awyr agored, gyda heicio, beicio, golff, golygfeydd, marchogaeth ceffylau, a saethu \u2013 i gyd ar gael yn yr ardal gyfagos. Gallwch fod ar y traethau gogoneddus ar arfordir gorllewinol Cymru mewn tua 20-30 munud yn y car. Neu i&#8217;r rhai sy&#8217;n hoffi her efallai y byddai&#8217;n well gennych ddringo Aran Fawddwy g<span style=\"font-size: 1rem; color: #202122; font-family: sans-serif;\">ydag uchder o 905 medr, Aran Fawddwy yw mynydd uchaf Cymru ac Ynys Prydain i&#8217;r de o&#8217;r Wyddfa ac mae<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0 Cader Idris sydd yn 893m yn un o gopaon mwyaf poblogaidd Cymru ar gyfer cerdded bryniau.<\/span><\/p><p>Ond nid oes angen i chi deithio&#8217;n bell am dro da, gan fod Dyffryn Dyfi a&#8217;r ardal sy&#8217;n lleol i Ddinas Mawddwy wedi&#8217;i chroesi \u00e2 llwybrau a hawliau tramwy ac mae mapiau o&#8217;r llwybrau ar gael yn lleol ac ar y wefan hon.<br \/>Bydd beicwyr mynydd yn gwerthfawrogi naill ai Llwybrau Coedwig Coed y Brenin neu Lwybrau Machynlleth.
